One of those days

You ever have one of those days where...???>>>

You just did not want to face anybody or anything?

Where you feel like you are being overpowered and over ran by.......

Would it be so much better to relax and things run smoothly, with out everything having to be a rush... tomorrow is a great word, don't you think?  Think do over, think no stress, no hassle, tomorrow...

How Do I rate with the 4 C's?

Our talk sunday was on Adversity and how it makes us stronger, the analogy of a diamond came up so out of curiosity I did the following.....

A diamond is rated on the following 4..
***CARAT *****COLOR ******CLARITY ******CUT***

CARAT means weight--A diamond weight is a very important factor to its cost.

I believe I have this one mastered with what I weigh currently ...I am more valuable than the The Heart of Eternity or The Taj-I-Mah , The Portuguese, The Rob Red , The Sultan of Morocco,  or even The Shepard (to name a few) See a women is her weight in"Diamonds"
Portuguese
Sultan of Morocco
Rob Red
Shepard

COLOR GRADING arbitrarily begins with "D" to avoid confusion. "A", "B", and "C" are assumed to not exist but there is room in the color range to allow for finding them.

See I knew they were telling me stories in school, a "D" is not that bad...as for A, B, or C not existing well as it said there is room for finding it. No matter there is always that option of perfection. That quest....

CLARITY---In plain terms clarity is simply how much "stuff" is inside the diamond crystal. The less the "stuff" the more they cost. This again because of rarity by lack of imperfection. Most all of the diamonds mined have inclusions that are visible to the unaided eye.
Oh my!   I need improvement on this part I have a lot of "Stuff". Goes back to that quest for perfection, less stuff...makes you wonder what "inclusions are visible on us....

CUT ---The Cut is the most important characteristic of a diamond. This factor determines how much light which enters the diamond from above, then how much light will be reflected and refracted back out of the gem to the eye of the observer. In other words how pretty the diamond can be is decided by the cut.

So how much light do I reflect??? with the adversity we have to face how much has actually "polished us" how much of the Light from Above do we reflect?? What is my cut??

I believe I am still a Diamond in the Rough.....my cut, clarity, color are NOT flawless I am in need of a master gemologist..

Rescued???

Jeff was driving home late one night and "rescued" 2 dove that had been "wing shot". We had a heck of a time getting them out of his truck, being there were plenty of areas to hide.  We have been feeding and watering them, unfortunately we lost one and am now down to the last one, it was not hurt as bad as the first and we are hoping that it will be ready to be set free soon. I any one has any advice please let us know.

Star Trek....Beyond...Where No Man Has Gone Before......

Flunked, Bombed, Clueless---all of those words would explain how well we faired playing our Star Trek, DVD board game.....Jeff won....but only because of his knowledge of the older version with William Shatner,  Did somewhat better with the New Generation with "Captain Picard" but we definately do not know most of the others or the names of each episode...If ya'll can do better, please come and enlighten us....So that we too can go where no man has gone before....

Thank you, Thank you..

Just expressing my appreciation for the men and women who have served will be serving and ARE serving our country....It takes a strong and unique person to do this and I, as a US citizen am greatful.

Husband has left a trail of Dirty clothes and random dishes, periodically..am still searching for attached person. If seen or found please call.....

We did get our back packs tonight... it had our Flashlight, Hard hat, Safety glasses. Rubber gloves, dust masks, regular gloves, and vest. Now I am styling....too kewl !! Next week is the first part of medical and emergency.

Ready get set Start your?....motor?.....Engine?.......Furnace !!!

Rumor is that we have actual steel progress.. Arizona once again has a genuine, bona fide steel mill. Jeff and everyone else, unfortunately have been working ALL three days of the Labor Day weekend in order to start up today Tuesday September 8th 2009.

The plan was to start up the mill, take pictures this afternoon and get home early.  As usual things did not go as planned or maybe they did and the get home early was AM???
As of 6:42 they were running, so we will see Jeff soon, although it is after 10 and still no sign.

A fun time was had by all that is for sure. We had our pictures taken in Kimonos, as a Sumo wrestler and just in general. There was food galor. For those of you who missed it you definately miss alot of memories.

It's Raining Cats and Dogs

Just a while back we asked that the rain NOT go away and on Saturday it finally hit.
We had lots and lots of rain.....of course it was a day that I did not want it to rain.

We were leaving for the Verde Valley to attend a birthday party and were wanting to get on the road early.

We had to wait for the rain to stop and of course I had things on my porch that were soaking wet, such as the cat's litter box... not a good thing !

We manage to avoid most of the rain until we hit Camp Verde and then the Rain come down and the floods came up...The next day we were able to see what washes ran and had to avoid the  slushes of  debris. But it was very much worth it.
